I have a kitchen side at home but am at the cottage this summer. After a day of baking cookies and bread, I sat down and ordered one for the cottage. Since it is my second one, I looked at refurbished and super happy I did. This one is bigger, better and cost at least $100 less. definitely the way to go. My arm muscles can't live without it.

I have been using an Artisian 4.5 model tilt head for about 5 years to replace a 20 year old Pro model.. I've started making bread and wanted to make larger batches and decided I need a bigger motor. I purchased the Refurbished Professional and it is wonderful. The motor handles kneading 2 loaves of bread dough easily. I really like the lift bowl too. For me it is easier to put the bowl onto the stand.
I have a small kitchen and the KitchenAid solves several problems. i use the meat grinder and vegetable slicers that fit into the motor hub. These are the same add-ons that I have used for 10 years. I don't need to store 3-4 different machines on counters or in cabinets.
Twenty-five of years of KitchenAid stand mixers have been wonderful. And I love that my new one is RED! Thanks.

I have a kitchen aid I've used for 25 years which I love and works like new. However when I saw the larger red one I wanted it. Works so well for larger amounts and looks great on my counter. Needs guard to keep flour from "dusting out". This is an appliance I love and my daughter and granddaughter feel the same about theirs

I have wanted a Kitchenaid mixer for a long time - got it for Christmas. Although the title is wrong - it is NOT Refurbished, it is brand new. I don't know why this came up when I registered it, because I filled in everything correctly. Anyhow - it has made not only baking much easier, I have also used to to mix all the ingredients for Swedish meatballs - a family favorite. I bought the shredder/slicer attachments which is also a time saver. I now bake more often because it makes it so easy.

I got this primarily for making breads, though I tried a batch of sugar cookies as well. I like it, the motor is quite powerful and it seems to have no trouble mixing anything I can put in it. It is rather loud- louder than expected, I suspect as a result of the metal gearing.
Build quality is excellent, the paint is very nice and the bowl is impressive (I'm serious, the bowl is great!) overall a very nice unit.
The only gripe I have is scraping the bowl down is challenging. The paddle takes enough room up in the bowl that it is difficult to get around and lowering the bowl doesn't really give you enough space under the paddle so I have had issues with batter not mixing quite right at the bottom of the bowl. The solution is to pull the bowl off, but that can be challenging as then it's pretty easy to get batter everywhere.
Aside from that gripe - the machine works great, looks great, has all the power in the world - I really like it and would recommend to anyone.

My daughter bought me this for a Christmas gift. It was a complete surprise, she lives in Illinois and I live in Florida and she ordered it to be picked up at the Daytona Beach Best Buy store. I make Christmas cookies for all my neighbors and this mixer has made it so easy to mix up cookie batter with no muss or fuss. If you are a baker, this is a must.

My family purchased my KitchenAid stand mixer for me three weeks ago and I love it! It fits perfectly on my kitchen counter. I love how the bowl lifts and lowers - I was concerned I wouldn't like this feature but I really like it because I don't have to worry about the mixer having enough clearance if the head did lift. The attachments that it came with are very easy to clean and use! I have my eyes on a few more attachments - I just have to save enough money to purchase them. So far, I have used my mixer to make 12 dozen cookies, two cakes and a few other things. I bake a lot and I am very proud of my KitchenAid and have faith it will last a long time.
