I have been buying Kitchenaid mixers for over 25 years, now.... i have owned three.... one i gave to my daughter, so i could buy another.... and that one i donated to charity as i changed my kitchen color and it didn't match... i have never had an issue with them and would not purchase another brand.... as i am not planning on changing my kitchen again, it should not be an issue!

This artisan mixer is an upgrade from my Original KitchenAid mixer from about 23 years ago. I love everything about it. The deeper bowl is especially helpful when whipping. My old mixer will be passed along to a younger baker. It still has lots of life in it.

My first receipe I made with my kitchen aid was an angel food cake. It turned out so fluffy and light as I had to mix 12 egg whites. I would have never done this with a hand mixer. I got this for Christmas after wanting one for a long time. I had always used my moms bowl lift, so I was torn as to which model to get. I'm really glad I got the tilt head. I have not noticed any differences in performance between the two, and the tilt head is much smaller when you put them next to each other, and significantly quieter. I also really love that the paddle and dough hook are coated- the uncoated ones my mom has have been replaced many times due to water damage or accidentally going through the dishwasher.
