This mixer USA wonder. 1st use was to make bread and it kneaded it like a charm. The finish is beautifully done and looks marvelous on our countertop. Wife doesn't want to hide it away!
It has great torque for kneading at low speed and cleanup is a breeze.

First one broken, then fabulous replacement

I bought this mixer and was so disappointed when it came. First batch of bread dough and the mixer head had about 1/2 inch of play in it...the mixer was all over the place and couldn't hold steady. I called KitchenAid, and they worked through a calibration step with me which didn't work. Then they immediately put in for a replacement. When the replacement came, it was obviously a much newer mixer and worked perfectly! So, thank you KA for standing behind your product. Refurbished is a good way to go, but be sure to use the mixer right away to make sure it works.

I have wanted a kitchenaid mixer for years but as a single mom never invested in one. My Mom got me one for my birthday about a month ago and I've been unstoppable =)
I bought the ice cream maker (naturally) and want the meat grinder. So far I've made breads, cookies, brownies, blueberry gateau, ice cream, gelato, sorbet... lord, whipped cream, who knows what all. It's refurbished and needs testing out, you know...
The motor is powerful but the noise of it in high gear is not. I have been so thrilled that I offered my daughter one for birthday/christmas but have since decided that September is close enough to make no nevermind ;-)
Love it and highly recommend it

I made 2 batches of mashed potatoes for the holidays in 1/2 the time. My KitchenAid got the job done and I was impressed. Even though this is a refurbished unit, I didn't have a single issue. I have purchased other items and had no issues for the 8+ years I have owned it. I will buy refurbished again!

I received a 4.5 qt KitchenAid mixer as a gift, but decided on a 5 qt, so traded it in for the larger unit. Love the handle and higher watt features!
